A Day in the Life
Online learning is new to many of our students and their families. Our team is working to support smooth transitions to online learning for families by maintaining familiar learning routines of a high school while harnessing some of the flexibility that online learning can offer. Our approach is driven by relationships, not technology. We will utilize technology in appropriate ways to support robust learning outcomes for students, but building sustaining relationships that invite and engage students in learning is at the heart of our approach.
Since high school often includes rigorous coursework, PSD Virtual will use a block schedule to reduce the number of courses upon which a student is enrolled at any given time. This block schedule will be similar to the Rocky Mountain High School model in which students complete year-long classes in a semester and semester-long classes in a quarter.
